What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic bio-feedback technique that uses muscle monitoring to investigate what may be causing imbalances in the body.  It is based on the science of neurology and energy medicine and combines a range of gentle but powerful balancing techniques.   As a holistic therapy, kinesiology looks at health as a whole, addressing not only what’s going on with the physical body, but also the environment and the emotional and mental state of the individual.

Kinesiology can be used to support the healing of a variety of disorders from pain issues to allergies, stress, fatigue and emotional problems.  Although all kinesiology uses muscle monitoring for bio-feedback, there are many different streams or “modalities” of kinesiology, each of which focusses on different kinds of issues, such as emotional stress, pain, digestive problems, learning difficulties, personal growth and many others.

Which kinesiology is right for me?

As healers, our tools establish the context that supports the client in accessing the capacity and  power for healing that is within them.  The kinesiology streams you choose to study will depend mostly on what kinds of problems interest you, and who you want to help.  You can start with something that allows you to work with a range of issues, and deepen your skills in areas of special interest later on.

At ACVH, we offer training in the kinesiology tools that have worked best for us, and ones that give you a strong foundation for your future career.   Each of these kinesiology modalities is accredited with the relevant industry associations, and can be included in our nationally accredited Kinesiology qualificationsClick on a modality title below to download the relevant course brochure.

Body & Soul
In the Body & Soul series you will learn how to apply muscle testing skills to everyday life, helping people maintain health and wellbeing for themselves and their families.  You will be able to test for food sensitivities, vitamins, minerals, herbs and other supplements, and restore balance using essential oils, gem and flower essences and chakra balancing.  Level 2 works much more deeply with digestive imbalances, enhancing self image and clearing stresses on relationships that commonly affect our weight.  Level 3 expands on these skills by balancing subtle life energies, including the Qabbalistic Tree of Life, the three main energy “reservoirs” or Tan Tiens, the extended chakra system, DNA and Astrological influences.  Click here for brochure.

Kinergetics
Kinergetics is a fast, non-invasive method of healing that works on the energy fields of the body, to effectively alleviate a wide range of health problems by balancing energies in the organs, glands and chakras.  We use muscle biofeedback to identify areas of stress, imbalance or dysfunctional systems, achieving consistent success with chronic pain, candida, mercury toxicity, emotional stress and much more.  We have chosen this as one of our foundation courses because it gives you the tools to help with most of the issues you will encounter in your clients.  Click here for brochure.

Applied Physiology
Applied Physiology is a living paradigm that can empower human beings, assist in healing the human body and nurture the human spirit, because it provides a powerful holographic model that unites the physical body with the metaphysical body.  The result can be physical homeostasis and spiritual harmony.    Click here for course curriculum.
